For the 2011-12 school year, RRCA is partnering with SonRise Ministries to provide food for needy students at a local elementary school. These students qualify for the meal program at their local school, but were going hungry during the weekend until this ministry was formed to provide backpack kits full of snacks and meals to sustain them through the weekend.
We are excited to be able to meet this need and to give our students and families a tangible way to serve their neighbors who are less fortunate.
We would like each student to provide the food items on the list below. The assigned food item will change each month. If you wish to make a monetary contribution to help cover expenses for the year instead of bringing in food items, please submit your check to RRCA for $25 with Backpack Coalition written on the memo line.
