After undergoing an interview process with many qualified and talented applicants, Round Rock Christian Academy is pleased to announce that two candidates were chosen to fill leadership positions at the Academy. Beginning in June, 2011, Mrs. Rayeanne O’Brien will assume the new position of Elementary Principal, overseeing the preschool and elementary areas of the Academy. In addition, Mrs. Tiffany Jaksch has been selected to fill the position of Secondary Principal, which became open when current administrator Becky Blauser stepped into the Interim Head of School position.
We are excited to bring these two individuals on board in administration as both have close ties to Round Rock Christian Academy. Rayeanne O’Brien grew up in Austin and graduated from Howard Payne University in Brownwood with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education/English. She has also completed graduate work at Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth. Mrs. O’Brien has been a classroom teacher for 22 years, teaching every grade K-8, and has led a district-wide Talented and Gifted Program.
Mrs. O’Brien taught at RRCA for 6 years, while two of her children attended RRCA, and she later served on the RRCA school board for 3 years. She has been a member of Central Baptist Church for 15 years and has four children. Katy is married and living in Wisconsin, Christopher recently graduated from Texas State University and wants to teach in South Korea, Heather just received her Master of Divinity from TCU and Emily graduates from Washington State University this semester and is getting married this fall. Mrs. O’Brien enjoys writing, traveling and visiting with old friends. She is looking forward to working with all the teachers, parents and students at Round Rock Christian Academy.
We are also delighted to have current RRCA teacher Mrs. Tiffany Jaksch step forward to assume the new responsibilities of Secondary Principal. Mrs. Jaksch grew up in Victoria, Texas and graduated from The University of Houston in Victoria. She has taught in public and private schools for over 10 years, with the last five years as a secondary English teacher at RRCA. She currently serves as the sponsor of the RRCA Chapter of the National Honor Society.
Mrs. Jaksch and her husband have two young boys, Tanner and Trevor, who are 3rd and 1st grade students at RRCA. They attend church at First Baptist Church in Georgetown where she is actively involved in her Life Group. During her leisure time, Mrs. Jaksch enjoys reading, running, and spending time with family and friends. Mrs. Jaksch is looking forward to collaborating with teachers and connecting with students and parents in her new role.
