I hold each child as a unique gift from God, fearfully and wonderfully made. In response to this, I walk into the classroom each day feeling honored, humbled, and immeasurably grateful. By igniting a love for exploration and knowledge, fostering joyful hearts and minds, and providing a solid foundation, the “first step” can be a GIANT LEAP in early education.

One of the things I really enjoy about teaching is watching students argue over answers to math problems. When they try to justify their answers, they are learning, whether they are right or they are wrong. What a great opportunity they just had in learning from their mistake and grasping something new. Perseverance isn’t only key in math, but in life. Romans 5:3-4 says, “3 Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, 4 and endurance produces character, and character produces hope,…”.

Sharing God’s gift of dance and song with students is one of the greatest joys in my life. I am so excited to teach Musical Theater to students in 7th-12th grades and lead Discipleship classes for high school girls. I am also blessed to be the Creative Director of the annual Spring Show and the director of The Dance Cru, RRCA’s varsity dance team.
Fun Fact: I have been performing and dancing since I was two years old.

What I love about teaching is that it is never the same from one day to the next. I get to watch students grow from pre-kindergarten through graduation and have a front row seat as they learn concepts and skills they did not think they could master. Watching students grow into confident young adults is a privilege and joy.
Fun Fact: When I was in college, I got to deliver flowers to George Strait’s house when he won his first Entertainer of the Year award at the CMAs.

I enjoy teaching Physical Education and teaching students to have fun while exercising. It’s important for students to learn that our bodies are a gift from God and we can use them through sports to glorify Him!

What I enjoy the most about teaching is seeing the kids get excited about what they are learning. I love seeing their eyes light up when they start to understand a concept! God has given me such a passion for music and sharing that passion with my students is such a blessing.
Fun Fact: I can sing in 4 different languages.

I enjoy teaching and interacting with the students and their families. I love watching their ‘light bulb’ moments when they realize they CAN do hard things. The most important work is making sure the students know God so they can live for Him.

I love encouraging students to value their bodies as God’s gift, stay active and healthy, and grow through movement, teamwork, and discipline. Teaching gives me the chance to inspire them to use their gifts fully and honor God in all they do.
